I'm 6 feet 2 inches, so the weight wasn't unusual for my height, except it was all in my legs and hips", although in a 1969 San Francisco Examiner said "I'm constantly on a diet. I'm 6 foot 1 and down to 175 pounds. But if you look at the 'Red Roses' album cover, you'll see me at 260. And I photograph heavier than I am.
